eID is the identification services offered by the Belgian government through its chip-equipped identity card.
Preparation
Before using such identification method, make sure to check the following
- Connective browser plugin is installed on your preferred browser
- The client that would like to identify himself through BeID knows the PIN linked to his identity card
- You are in possession of a functioning card reader
If one of the following conditions does not apply, you cannot proceed with using BeID.
How to use it

Click on the + icon to add a new client

Click on the BeID button in the client page

You will be now redirected to our partner’s interface. Here, you will be asked to connect the card reader and insert the ID card of the client. If this does not happen, please check if the plugin is correctly installed on your browser. If the problem persists, contact support@opercredits.zendesk.com

Once the card has been inserted in the card reader, the system will ask the client to insert the PIN associated to his/her ID card

If the PIN has been inserted successfully, you will now be able to see the data extracted from the ID card

The client will now have to give the final consent on sharing his/her data by ticking the checkbox about data sharing and clicking on the green
Confirmbutton -
Once the the green
Confirmbutton has been clicked, you will now be redirected back to our application where you will see all the client’s data. -
Now you will just need to add a few mandatory data points and SAVE the changes. Namely, the missing mandatory data points are
- Client role
- Country of the address
DO NOT FORGET TO SAVE or the data of the client will be lost.
